Released in October 1992. Love Symbol is the fourteenth studio album by American musician and songwriter [[artist:28795]]. It is the second of two studio albums that featured his backing band the [[artist:84751]]. Corresponding releases: [m=97260] (Single) [m=97259] (Single) [m=97256] (Single) [m=97261] (Single) [m=97262] (Single) [m=410869] (Home Video) On several releases, the so called 'clean editions' recognizable by the absent 'parental advisory' label and alternative catalog number, the first two songs are edited to conceal curses. Early configurations of the album contained additional segues to more fully explain the story of the album (and home video), but these were removed from the final sequence to include "I Wanna Melt With U" instead. [The unpronounceable graphic symbol Prince used later (from 1993 to 2000) as stage name](https://www.discogs.com/artist/293637) appears here for the first time on a release, it will later be copyrighted as "Love Symbol" and gives, [ rendered in plain text](https://www.discogs.com/release/7758862-Prince-Peach/image/SW1hZ2U6MjA3OTYzMDk=), the album its name.
