Initially released on Prince's 33rd birthday on 12" to DJs and radio stations in its [original "Approx: Damn Near 10 Min." version](https://www.discogs.com/release/616652). The response to the song was so high, that Prince decided to place an edited version on the [m=97248] album and remove "Horny Pony". The maxi-single includes remixes and three tracks which are largely based on "Gett Off" but can be considered as songs in their own: "Violet The Organ Grinder", "Gangster Glam" and "Clockin' The Jizz (Instrumental)".
