Third release by Happy Mondays. Released on Factory as 12" only on 09 March 1987 with cat# Fac 176. First outtake of album Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out). Produced by John Cale. The single stayed for 8 weeks in the UK Indie Charts, peaking at position 13. The song Tart Tart references Martin Hannett as well as an old groupie from the 1960s called Tart Tart. For the occasion, Factory also printed 12" x 16" promotional posters. Reissued in 2019 as part of the release The Early EP's. A remastered version of Tart Tart was reissued on 7" in 2022.
