In most regions, "Shout" was released in late 1984 as the 1st single from the Songs From The Big Chair album, which followed in late February. In the U.S., it was released as the 2nd single in late May or early June 1985, well after the album and after "Everybody Wants To Rule The World". 1st UK retail release: • 12 Nov 1984 (IDEA 8 and IDEA 810) • 17 Dec 1984 (IDEA 812) Most releases of "Shout" have the right and left channels swapped from how they were intended; the cowbell is supposed to go from left to right, according to Chris Hughes.
