Established in 1983 in Copenhagen, Denmark by [[artist:Kjeld Wennick]]. In 1999 the label's parent company, [[label:Mega Scandinavia A/S]] was acquired by [[label:Edel Music AG]]. Two years later the label was merged with the Danish [[label:Edel]] label to form [[label:Edel-Mega Records]]. Mega Records' best known group was [[artist:Ace Of Base]], which sold nearly 30 million albums worldwide. The label's catalogue is currently owned and administrated by [[label:6651]].
