According to an interview with Pete Waterman, the album title derives from what Mel would reply whenever he asked the ladies how something was sounding (during the recording of the album) - "F*cking lovely mate!". Pete abbreviated this to "F.L.M." which became the album title. For the single release ('[[master:86275]]') it was further altered in the song's lyrics to stand for 'Fun, Love and Money'. The sleeve images / designs were different in North America to the rest of the world. The UK produced 2 different vinyl LP designs (each reversed the front and back sleeve images as featured on the other - see: [[release:8349750]] and [[release:310469]]. The cassette version features a longer version of the title track.
