French label created by [[label:9875]] in 1990 and run by Alain Artaud to distribute and promote independent music and labels such as [[label:Mute Records Ltd.]]/[[label:Blast First]], [[label:City Slang]], Respect, [[label:Soma Quality Recordings]], [[label:Naked Music]], [[label:4AD]], [[label:Beggars Banquet]], [[label:Creation Records]], [[label:Domino]], [[label:Wall Of Sound]], and to sign artists (e.g. [[artist:Daft Punk]], [[artist:BBE]], [[artist:Yann Tiersen]], [[artist:Dominique A]], [[artist:Jean-Louis Murat]], [[artist:Superfunk]]). After the merge of [[label:9875]] and EMI Music France in January 2002, it became a division of EMI Music France; but is now defunct since June 2008.
