About DJ Spinna

DJ and producer, born and raised in Brooklyn on January 30, 1973.

He began his recording career in 1994 as a member of the underground hip hop group [[artist:Jigmastas]].

Throughout his career, he has broken down musical barriers between the worlds of hip hop, deep house, soul, and jazz working with everyone from [[artist:Mos Def]], [[artist:Masta Ace]], [[artist:Pharoahe Monch]] and [[artist:Eminem]], through [[artist:Eric Roberson]], [[artist:N'dea Davenport]], [[artist:Mary Mary]], and all the way to [[artist:Stevie Wonder]], [[artist:Roy Ayers]], and [[artist:Sergio Mendes]].

He has other notable side projects to his credit such as the [[artist:Polyrhythm Addicts]], [[artist:The Free Radikalz]], and his alter ego [[artist:Chopp Master Flopp]].
