Current: [[label:150168]] It was established in April 1998 as “SMEJ Associated Records.” Initially, the label name was listed simply as “Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.,” and it wasn’t until around 1999 that the label name began to be clearly specified. In October 2001, the record production division of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. was split into Sony Music Japan International Inc., Sony Music Records Inc., Epic Records Japan Inc., Ki/oon Records Inc., and Sony Music Associated Records Inc.
