A sophomore album "[m=101004]" was released in 1996, and her final album, "[m=35220]", appeared earlier in the year of her tragic death.
Aaliyah unfortunately died on August 25, 2001, in Marsh Harbour, Abaco Islands, The Bahamas (Aged 22) in an Airplane crash that also claimed the lives of 8 others after filming the music video for her single "Rock The Boat", featured on her third album, "Aaliyah".
