When released as a single in late 1987, "Tramp"—a song from Salt 'N' Pepa's 1986 album *[Hot, Cool & Vicious](http://www.discogs.com/Salt-N-Pepa-Hot-Cool-Vicious/master/73718)*—was given a new remix and was paired with a risqué new jam, "Push It" as a B-side. For B-side of the 7", San Francisco DJ Cameron Paul provided a tightened-up edit of "Push It". This remix became a radio hit in late 1987, driving sales and pushing the "Tramp" single into the pop charts. The B-side's success spurred Next Plateau to the release ["Push It" as its own single](http://www.discogs.com/Salt-N-Pepa-Push-It-Again/master/73714) (filed in a separate Master Release in Discogs). The "Push It" and "Tramp" remixes were also added to reissues of the *Hot, Cool & Vicious* album, which was suddenly soaring in the charts nearly two years after its initial release.
