Liner Notes

Moonlight Shadow was released in May 1983 by Virgin Records and is Oldfield's most successful single; it reached number one on a number of charts around Europe. The vocals are by Scottish vocalist [[artist:Maggie Reilly]], who had collaborated with Mike Oldfield since 1980. • A side is included on Oldfield's eighth album [m=16013]. • B side is a folky song, exclusive to this single, and not to be found on any other official album or compilation since. Interesting to collectors is the fact that 2 versions of this song exist, one with abrupt ending, and the other with fade-out. Since both versions have the exact same duration on releases (2:21) it is impossible to know which version you have without listening.
