Island Life is a best-of compilation by Grace Jones released in December 1985 to capitalise on the success of [m=56303] released earlier that same year. It sums up the first nine years of her musical career and includes songs from all her albums, except [m=56274]. Some of the songs appear in edited forms, and a remix of "Love Is the Drug" is included. The same tracklist was used for all versions except: • Australian LP - [r=628129] - including a bonus 12" containing four additional tracks, "My Jamaican Guy", "Pull Up To The Bumper", "On Your Knees" and "Warm Leatherette"; • 1986 UK cassette - [Island Life](https://www.discogs.com/Grace-Jones-Island-Life/master/45107?country=UK&filter=true&format=Cassette&sort=country&sort_order=) - including three bonus tracks, "Demolition Man", "Nipple To The Bottle" and "Grace Jones Musclemix". The vinyl release comes normally in a gatefold sleeve. In France, the compilation was re-released in 1990 as [m=36583], then again in 1996 under the title [m=1583808], with four additional tracks, "Pars", "Feel Up" and two versions of the 1993 single "Sex Drive".
