Record Label
Created in 1992, the record label and company of the independent German legal entity [[label:86673]] (since January 1997, previously linked to [[label:68947]] from 1992 to early 1997) with many sub labels. Founded by [[artist:Bernhard Mikulski]], its roots date back to 1971. Since his death his family have taken over management of the company; firstly his wife, [[artist:16971787]] and more recently their daughter, [[artist:12566573]] (née Mikulski). Releases labelled "ZYX Records" or "ZYX Rec" should be submitted to label [[label:27498]]. Many records were sold in a generic "I love ZYX" cover instead of a picture cover. For all unofficial releases (bootlegs, counterfeits, pirate compilations) that pretend to be a release of ZYX Music use [[label:ZYX Music (2)]]. Name variations: - ZYX Music - ZYX-Music - ZYX Music Germany Particularities in some 90's catalogue numbers or in the companies listed, to identify the country of releases, even though all are "Made in Germany", without this being a fixed rule, and there may be exceptions: French code: ZYX46xx or ZYX 36xx (Distributed by Sony Music).
