About Skip McDonald
American musician and guitarist based in New York & London who has made significant contributions to the world of music over the past several decades. Born in Dayton, Ohio (USA) on 1 September 1949 as [[artist:565130]], he began playing music at a young age and quickly developed a deep passion for the guitar. In addition to his work as a guitarist, McDonald is also a talented singer, songwriter, and producer. His eclectic musical style incorporates elements of funk, reggae, rock and blues, among other genres.
Over the years he has worked very closely with bassist [[artist:21658]] and drummer [[artist:40521]], whom he met in the 1970s. First in [[artist:27047]], from 1979 onwards in the [[artist:296434]] (the house band for Sugarhill Records), later still on various [[label:2409]] projects such as [[artist:40220]] and [[artist:40228]].
