Mukendi is an iconic figure in the techno scene. Starting as [[artist:Dj Adolphe]] he quickly earned a reputation and the attention of many techno enthousiasts in the 1980s in and around the North of France.

He managed the influential "USA IMPORT" record shop in Lille [1990-2005] and reached global commercial success under the alias [[artist:Mad'house]], famous for the multi-platinum 2002 Madonna dance remix "Like a Prayer".

His record store became a beating heart for the techno music scene of its time.

Every week, he had the honor of serving as the “selector” for the famous DJ Laurent Garnier. His mission was to select between 15 and 20 records to enrich the master’s collection. This collaboration not only allowed him to refine his musical ear but also to forge connections with legendary artists like Daft Punk, who chose his store as their go-to distributor for their vinyl releases.

In 2000, with a clear vision for the future, he founded the legendary [[label:Babaorum Records]]. The label quickly became a springboard for iconic French-Tek and Jump artists such as [[artist:Lobotomy.Inc]], [[artist:Dinamik]], [[artist:Lethal MG]], [[artist:Karl F]], [[artist:DJ Greg C]] and [[artist:Binum]]. Adolphe dedicated himself to discovering and promoting emerging talent, sharing his passion with a growing community.
