About Junior Senior
Junior Senior were a Danish pop duo, active from 1998 to 2008. The duo consisted of [[artist:Jesper Mortensen]] alias [[artist:Junior (11)]] (vocals, guitar, bass guitar, keyboards) and [[artist:Jeppe Laursen]] alias [[artist:Senior (2)]] (vocals, keyboards, programming). Before forming Junior Senior 1998, Mortensen and Laursen had played together for one year during 1995-96 in [[artist:Ludox]]. The name is explained by the simple fact that Laursen is the oldest and biggest of the two. The duo signed a deal with Danish label [[label:Crunchy Frog]] and released their debut album [m=108443] in 2002. It contained the single [m=40949], with vocals by [[artist:Thomas Troelsen]] of [[artist:Superheroes]], that became a massive radio hit in Denmark. [[label:Universal]] subsequently released both the album and the single internationally, and Move Your Feet gained worldwide success in 2003, most notably in the United Kingdom where it went straight to number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. The duo was invited to perform on Tops of the Pops as one of the few Danish acts ever. 2005 saw the release of second album [m=108447] that reached number 2 on the Japanese albums charts. Mortensen and Laursen announced that they would split and pursue solo projects on 26 September 2008.
