About Hiver & Hammer
Hiver & Hammer are DJ Pierre Hiver aka. Patrick Wintter and DJ Hammer aka. Mario Hammer. They joined forces in December 1997 and created Tune Town Productions. Pierre Hiver finished his studies (Media- and Communication Economy) in November 1997 and Mario worked for a Production Studio till then. They met at a DJ meeting in Mai 1997. The name 'Hiver & Hammer' arose from Patrick Wintter's full name being Patrick Pierre Wintter. As he is French, he uses the French word for Winter, which is hiver. Mario's surname is Hammer.
Hiver & Hammer gained significant prominence in the early 2000s trance scene, both for their original productions and high-profile remixes. Their 2002 release "5 Million Miles" (feat. Javah) is widely considered their signature original track.
