About Datura

Italian group formed in 1991 in Bologna, Italy, by the musicians [Ciro Pagano](http://www.discogs.com/artist/Ciro+Pagano) (ex-member and founder of the Italian electro pop group [[artist:Gaznevada]], one of the most importants in the 80's) and [[artist:Stefano Mazzavillani]] (musician and arranger of more famous italian pop-singers in the 80's)

In the beginning they collaborate with two importants DJs: [[artist:Cirillo]] and [[artist:DJ Ricci]]. They are involved in all the Datura productions from 1991 until 1995.

Datura collaborate with artists as [[artist:Billie Ray Martin]], [[artist:Steve Strange]] from [[artist:Visage]] and remixed artists as [[artist:Freddie Mercury]], [[artist:Luciano Ligabue]], [[artist:Irene Grandi]], [[artist:Skiantos]] and [[artist:C.S.I.]]. The first single was "[Nu Style](http://www.discogs.com/master/101328)", followed by smash-hits "[Yerba Del Diablo](http://www.discogs.com/master/40741)", "[Eternity](http://www.discogs.com/master/40863)" and more.

In 1995 DJ Ricci stops to collaborate with the band and in 2000 also Cirillo leaves Datura.
