After moving to the UK in the early 1990's, she has been involved with many projects over the years inside the soul and jazz realms, and is a regular at London jazz club, [[label:Ronnie Scott's]].

She is the daughter of [[artist:Vicki Anderson]] and the stepdaughter of [[artist:Bobby Byrd]], her cousins are sisters [[artist:Jhelisa]] and [[artist:Pamela Anderson]], whilst [[artist:James Brown]] was her godfather.
