"Before I die I'm going to make: a record" Written and recorded between Oct (2)002 and Mar (2)003 Mixed at Tiny Telephone, SF (c)+(p) 2003 Jade Tree All songs published by Pain-Based Lifeform Music (ASCAP) Catalog # appears on spine and back cover with lower case letters, "jt1090" and inside the booklet with the credits, in capitals, "JT1090". Tracks are not listed on the back cover as per usual, but on the back of the front insert and are numbered. Tracks 7 & 8 are listed as 98, 99 in an attempt for them to appear as "hidden" tracks. In actual playback however, they come immediately after track 6, with no pause, coming in at track positions 7 and 8 on the disc. Album title is a pun on "Marilyn Manson"; Cex is from Baltimore, MD, and the cover photo shows a suburban home (a "mansion"). The tracklist as it appears in the liner notes (tracks 1-6 plus 98 + 99) is likely a reference to the first CD pressing of Nine Inch Nails' "Broken" which had 6 listed tracks plus two "hidden" tracks indexed at 98 and 99. Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails) and Marilyn Manson were friends and associates around the time of "Broken", with the former producing and mentoring the latter's early releases.
