Earlier, different version to the [12" single](http://www.discogs.com/Slits-Man-Next-Door/release/350743) which was recorded in 1980. Bass guitar on this version by [Arianne Forster](http://www.discogs.com/artist/Arianne+Foster) as bassist [Tessa Pollitt](http://www.discogs.com/artist/Tessa+Pollitt) was in hospital at the time.
