This CD contains all the environmental sounds of the 'acoustic citymap' of Kassel. The 'acoustic citymap' was a sound installation created by Spyra for the Documenta X supporting program and was presented to the public in the context of the exhibition 'My little garden of sounds'. The 'acoustic citymap' was bought by the city of Kassel in autumn 1997 and has been exhibited at the town hall (Wilhelmstrasse, 2nd floor) since then. The sound recordings were made by Spyra in May 1997 with a purpose-built recording/listening device, using OKM 2 microphones and a portable DAT-Recorder. The Bonustrack 'Traumzeit' is the only track on the CD with 'music', accompanied with embedded environmental sounds.
