Intro narration: Hello and welcome from me, [[artist:3917139]], to Jazz On 3's first venture into the world of digital radio. As always, the centerpiece of the show is great live music, but in addition, this broadcast includes a few bonuses: twenty minutes of animation, a specially commissioned text inspired by the music, sketches of the musicians drawn at the session, interviews, biographies, and a photo gallery. The musicians at the heart of this jazz multimedia event, saxophonist [[artist:42708]], bassist [[artist:212300]], and percussionist [[artist:187135]], have been at the forefront of free music for over three decades. Each has revolutionised the way their instrument is played, and pushed the art of group interaction to new heights. They were joined for this session by another outstanding improviser, the pianist [[artist:195813]]. The piece you are about to hear, "High Tide", is a continuous twenty minute improvisation. You can find the accompanying text by legendary avant-garde poet [[artist:179361]] on the information page.
