'The Resolution Chord From Frances' was recorded in New York City in the fall of 1993. Frances is a song by Amanda Thorpe adapted for solo guitar. 'Fidicin Drone' was recorded in Berlin (on the Fidicinstraße) in December 1992 using an E-bow and pieces of wood placed on strings. 'E flat Drone' was recorded in April 1995 in New York City.
