"Very" is the fifth Pet Shop Boys' studio album and their seventh full-length release overall, released on 27 September 1993 in the UK. "Very" is Pet Shop Boys' first album to reach number one in the UK albums chart. The release campaign was characterized by unusual CD packaging, described by Chris Lowe as an attempt to "make the actual [CD] box the cover." Each of the special CD packages cost Neil and Chris forty pence, deducted from their royalties. A limited edition (reportedly limited to 15,000 copies), "Very Relentless", included a bonus six-track album of mainly instrumental tracks. Relentless was also released as a limited 3-12" promo ([r=221162]). Please also note [m=1538267].
