The front cover layout has [[artist:Larry Levan]] as the main artist. The original versions of the tracks on this mini-album were released by [[artist:Gwen Guthrie]] on the albums [m=112901] and [m=112894]. They were remixed by Levan in 1983 and he played different versions at the [[label:373848]], most likely from reel-to-reel tape, which was commonly used by house DJs there at the time. Island vice-president Herb Corsack and his colleagues listened to the tapes of Levan's remixes and decided to release this record.
