The fourth solo studio album by Peter Murphy, globally released by Beggars Banquet Records in April 1992. Recorded at Maison Rouge Studios (London) and The Stereo Society (New York). Mixed at The Stereo Society, except track 7 mixed at Master Rock Studios (London). Mastered at K-Disc Mastering (Hollywood) by Bill Lightner. All formats feature instrumentation by Peter Murphy's touring and studio backing band, The Hundred Men (Paul Statham, Peter Bonas, Eddie Branch, and Terl Bryant), alongside guest contributions from Alison Limerick, Jonathan Carney, and Audrey Riley. Track 10, "Volga Boatmen (Outro)", has variations in presentation across different historical pressings: - On original 1992 CD and UK vinyl pressings, the piece is physically present as a short hidden track but left completely uncredited and unlisted on the printed tracklists. - Unverified On certain original 1992 cassette pressings, the track was omitted entirely. - In 2018, the song was officially named "Volga Boatmen (Outro)" for the "5 Albums" box set, a title retained for the tracklist presentation on the 2021 Beggars Arkive smoke-colored vinyl reissue campaign.
