The first greatest hits album by Swiss electronic group Yello, collecting material from [m=35165] (1980) to [m=38092] (1991). Most of the songs included use the single editions -- for instance, "Bostich" uses the version that would be retitled "Bostich (N'Est-Ce Pas)" on the 2005 remaster of Solid Pleasure. However, there are some exceptions: - "I Love You" uses the 1986 remix from [m=18478]; the original single release is identical to the album version. - "Pinball Cha-Cha" uses the 12" mix of the song, which is differentiated from the 7" and album editions by its different intro and the inclusion of a lengthy instrumental break. - "Jungle Bill" uses the 7" mix of the song, a truncated version of the album edition, rather than the trance remix found on the CD single and in the song's music video (the latter of which effectively canonizes the remix as the "official" single version). - "The Rhythm Divine" is remixed specifically for the compilation. The 2005 remaster of its parent album, [m=37841], would include this version as a bonus track with the subtitle "1992 Version". In 1995, the compilation was reissued to promote Disney's Christmas comedy film The Santa Clause, which came out the previous year. This version features two songs as bonus tracks: "Tremendous Pain" from [m=35649] and "Jingle Bells" from [m=323977].
