Plastic Bertrand – Ça Plane Pour Moi vs Elton Motello – Jet Boy Jet Girl [m=120656] vs [m=163533] Both songs are the exact studio recording (verbatim) background and instrumentation but with different vocals. Both tunes were released in the same year of 1977. Comparing catalogue #'s on releases from the same country they are within days or months apart of getting pressed. It would appear Plastic released the 1st version then followed up by Elton. Compare: RKM releases Plastic Bertrand 60064 [r=1919193] vs Elton Motello 60076 [r=1751294] Massive Hit in 1977 : "Ca Plane Pour Moi" (the second ever French language single in the Billboard Top 100, where it climbed up to number 39), although rumours abound that he allegedly didn't perform vocals on this track. As he was unable to make it on time to the recording studio, vocals duties were allegedly taken over by producer Lou Deprijck. 33 years later, in july 2010, Plastic Bertrand admitted it was in fact [[artist:253947]] that was heard on the hit single.
