"Bizarre Fruit" was originally released in November 1994. Australian, US & Canadian versions of "Bizarre Fruit" came with alternate cover art, using the 'gallery' image. A remix of "Renaissance" appears as a bonus track (the original appeared on the previous album "Elegant Slumming"). The album apparently wasn't released in Singapore before the release of the 1995 single "Itchycoo Park". There the album was released with a bonus disc, with 5 exclusive live mixes and 4 '[M People] Master Mixes', including the new single (but replicating "Sight For Sore Eyes" which actually appears also on the main album). The Singapore bonus disc was reused, reassembled and expanded, on "Bizarre Fruit II", released in November 1995. On this wordwide reissue the four 'Master Mixes' on CD2 were moved onto CD1, adding "Itchycoo Park" on the main album track list and discarding two original album mixes in the process. In place of the four 'Master Mixes' by M People, 'outside' remixes of five tracks (by David Morales, David 'Jam' Hall, Brothers In Rhythm, K-Klass and Junior Vasquez) were added on CD2. The 'gallery' image was used for "Bizarre Fruit II" cover art. Confusingly, later reissues of the album, titled "Bizarre Fruit", come with both cover art designs - and either with or without "Itchycoo Park".
