"A Little Spice" is the first Loose Ends album. The original UK version was released in 1984, though some early pressings may state "(P) 1983". The album was released belatedly in the US and Canada, after "Hangin' On A String (Contemplating)" had become a hit, but before "Hangin" appeared (elsewhere) on the group's second album "So Where Are You?". The US & Canadian issues, with a re-ordered track list, replace "Feels So Right Now" with "Hangin' On A String" and includes the 12" mixes of "Choose Me", "Tell Me What You Want" and "Dial 999" instead of the UK Album versions. The album reached #5 on the US R&B chart, while "Hangin' On A String" became a #1 hit on both the US Dance and R&B charts.
