Record Label
WTG Records was founded by and named for [[artist:1494200]], [[artist:1012741]], and [[artist:526665]]. WTG was a California-based, [[label:Epic]] Records imprint launched by three record executives—Walter Yetnikoff, Tommy Mottola and Jerry Greenberg—following Mottola's appointment as president of Sony after their acquisition of [[label:CBS]], originally active from 1988 until 1993. After the moniker laid dormant for ten years, Sony-BMG reactivated the name WTG in 2003 as a budget reissue label for [[label:Columbia]] titles.
