German independent label founded by [[artist:Ferdinand Köther]] and is based in Bochum. Active from 1982 to 1990. The independent distribution company of the same name specialized in mostly imported Indie-music, Punk and Heavy Metal, playing a vital role in getting Metallica established in Germany. The label Wishbone Records featured original or licensed productions, mostly Heavy Metal. the sublabel Backbone Records had a few notable re-releases.
