The Vienna Volksoper (Vienna People's Opera) is a major opera house in Vienna, Austria. It is home to the [[artist:Chor Der Wiener Volksoper]] (chorus) and [[artist:Wiener Volksopernorchester]] (orchestra), which includes [[artist:Streichergruppe Der Wiener Volksoper]] (strings). It gives about three hundred performances of twenty-five productions during an annual season running from September through June. This equates to a performance almost every day. In addition to opera, operetta, musicals and ballet, there are special performances and children's programs.
