Record Label
**Trattoria** is a defunct Japanese record label, established in the early nineties by [[artist:Keigo Oyamada]] ([[artist:Cornelius]]) and active till 2002, named after [[artist:Mike Alway]]'s nickname. Trattoria produced over 200 original albums and CD/LP/tape compilations by various Japanese pop-electronica/ mellow / fusion, lounge / easy listening bands and performers. The label is currently owned by [[label:Polystar]], an international group of independent record labels. In the past, Trattoria used to distribute CD released for [[artist:Yamatsuka Eye]]'s, controversial Japanese vocal performer, improviser and experimenter, founder of cult bands [[artist:Hanatarash]] and [[artist:Boredoms]], label [[label:Shock City]]. Apart from Shock City, Trattoria handled ten more sub-labels and release series, including [[label:Think About The Future '99]], [[label:Prego!]], [[label:Mo' Music]], [[label:Trattoria Family Club]] (reissuing personal favorites by [[artist:Bill Wyman]], [[artist:The Free Design]], [[artist:J.R. Bailey]], [[artist:Tracie Young]] and [[artist:Yasuharu Konishi]] and several compilations titled Love The Reason and Respond 12" Single Collection), [[label: Trattoria 7inch Split Single Series]] with three 7" split singles produced by [[artist:Cornelius]] vs [[artist:Hideki Kaji]], Salon Music / Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her and Papas Fritas / Citrus, and Trattoria E.P. Series for CDEP singles. Most of the label's artists were picked by [[label:Felicity]] label, and Trattoria's current roster is limited to [[artist:Keigo Oyamada]] himself and French singer-songwriter [[artist:Louis Philippe]].
