What can be said about SWAG RECORDS that hasn't already been said. Swag was not only a record shop, it was a hub of creative like-minded souls. From the studio upstairs to the shop and the inhouse record labels of course the parties. Swag was set up in 1993 by Jiten Acharya along with Paul Stubbs. The list of names of just some that served their time behind the counter is somewhat legendary - DAVE MOTHERSOLE - TERRY FRANCIS - RICHARD GREY - CLARA DA COSTA - GRANT DELL to name a few. In 1996 Jiten moved onto pastures green and the wonderful Liz Edwards became manager and took the reins. Liz guided the shop until it's closure in 2010. Liz was not only the manager of Swag but the link pin to so many friends and connections over the years and a great DJ. Liz ran a tight ship and was always pushing the team forward, with their productions and releases, she was the soul of Swag. Liz sadly passed in 2018 and her wish was that SWAG RECORDS lived on. So here we are in 2026 with the relaunch, Swag 2026 is not solely a reissue label. It will feature some old hard to find releases from some of its subsidiary labels and there will be unreleased gems, from back in the day, but the main objective is - NEW MUSIC - from all the great producers and artists that were involved in SWAG over the years, from the likes of GIDEON JACKSON - TERRY FRANCIS - ADAM COLLINS - JAY TRIPWIRE - UHURU BEATS - SILVERLINING - LEN LEWIS - JOSH & FABIAN COLES - ALEX ARNOUT - GRANT DELL to name a few! Swag will also aim to bring new and up and coming producers to the fold, just like it did all those years ago.
