Originally [[artist:Arthur Baker]]'s first record label, based in New York City they released dance, rap, electro, pop, and soul. Manufacturing and distribution for Streetwise and associated labels were often handled in house by [[label:Streetwise Records Ltd.]] and copyrights were held by [Streetwise Records](http://www.discogs.com/label/Streetwise+Records+%282%29). Its catalog is presently controlled by [[label:Phase One Network]], an asset management company.
