Record Label
NYC based record company founded by [[artist:Cliff Chenfeld]] and [[artist:Craig Balsam]]. Began life as the *'70s Preservation Society* in the mid-1990s, marketing 1970s-themed compilations on late night TV; soon grew into selling CD compilations of other genres on TV ads (i.e. 1980s hair-metal, soft rock, 1990s alternative) and reissues; has in recent years expanded into original material and the children's market (the wildly successful *Kidz' Bop* franchise). In 2018, it was acquired by the [[label:Concord Music Group]]. With the acquisition, Razor & Tie became a sublabel of Concord's [[label:Fearless Records]].
