Record Label
UK label. (Some logos are PRT Records) Formerly known as [[label:Pye Records]]. When the rights to the Pye name expired, the label changed its name in September 1980 to PRT (***P**recision **R**ecords and **T**apes*). The back catalog was acquired in 1990 by [[label:Castle Communications]] which itself was subsequently purchased by [[label:Universal Music Group]] unit [[label:Sanctuary Records]] but following Universal's acquisition of EMI Group's US and selected international interests and Virgin Records Ltd, the corporation had to sell-off some of its assets. As such, the Sanctuary Records catalogue was purchased by [[label:BMG Rights Management UK]]. Also, see [[label:597828]].
