"playHOUSE" was founded in September 1993 by [[artist:Heiko Schäfer]] aka [[artist:M/S/O]] and Atanasios Christos Macias aka [[artist:Ata]]. It was distributed via Neuton. Playhouse was founded as a sisterlabel of [[label:Klang Elektronik]]. It focused more on the house side of things, while Klang Elektronik releases music that is more techno-orientated. The label is a collaboration with [[artist:Roman Flügel]] and [[artist:Jörn Elling Wuttke]] (aka [[artist:Acid Jesus]] or [[artist:Sensorama]]), who control the output of Klang Elektronik.
