Record Label
Founded by [[artist:56266]] ([[artist:5030]]) and [[artist:56265]] ([[artist:4983]]) in early 1995 and based in Frankfurt/M. Germany, the Pharma sound was characterized by a hybrid of Electro, Techno, and Dub styles, which often incorporated odd vocal samples or other bizarre elements. The label acted mainly as a vehicle for the founding duo under various guises ([[artist:4996]], [[artist:4985]], [[artist:27823]]), but also released elektro oriented material from other well known producers such as [[artist:56263]] ([[artist:41082]], [[artist:14361]]), [[artist:752836]] ([[artist:983]]), [[artist:469939]] ([[artist:41005]]) and [[artist:5023]]. Each releases artwork and layout was done by Berlin graphic designer [[artist:1910839]], who also created the "Pharma font" used throughout the labels run. All titles were released through [[label:2444]] distribution. The label was ended in early 2000.
