Mille Plateaux is a Germany label for experimental electronic music and electronic arts. Genres like Clickhop, Glitch, Clicks & Cuts, Minimal etc. were largely influenced (and named) if not formed by the label. The name "Mille Plateaux" (A Thousand Plateaus) initially stemmed from a concept and same-titled principal work co-authored by [[artist:Gilles Deleuze]] and [[artist:Felix Guattari]], French psychoanalyst and philosopher respectively. The former gave his approval of the use of "Mille Plateaux" to the original label founder. History: * 1993: founded by [[artist:Achim Szepanski]] Sublabel of [[label:Force Inc. Music Works]] until 2004 Releases 1 to 15 are a cooperation between Force Inc.
