Australian **M**ushroom **D**istribution **S**ervices company was established in 1989 under the direction of [[artist:2057064]] to develop local artists, and import alternative and dance acts from overseas. In October 1999 it was merged into [[label:Mushroom Records]] Pty Ltd., and shortly after, Mushroom amalgamated with [[label:Festival Records]] Pty Ltd to form [[label:Festival Mushroom Records]].
