UK record label formed in 1997 after [[artist:1832247]] sold his first label [[label:1569]] to PolyGram in 1996. Independiente met success in the late '90s and early '00s with acts like [[artist:102983]] or [[artist:14906]]. It stopped releasing new singles and albums in 2009, becoming a catalogue management company. It was acquired by [[label:Concord Bicycle Music]] in 2018.
