House/R&B label based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1990 by [[artist:Steve "Silk" Hurley]] and his then-manager [[artist:Frank Rodrigo]]. ID Records was the third label established by Hurley and Rodrigo in successive years, following [[label:D.J. World Records]] in 1988 and [[label:Echotron Records]] in 1989.
