American hip-hop label from Brooklyn, New York/U.S.A. founded in 1994 by [[artist:Busta Rhymes]]. Home to the [[artist:Flipmode Squad]], the label changed its name to [[label:The Conglomerate Entertainment]] in 2011. In 1996 Flipmode signed a deal with [[label:Elektra]], before Busta partnered with Clive Davis and his [[label:J Records]] imprint in 2000. After releasing four albums and a compilation album, Busta moved his label once more, this time to [[artist:Dr. Dre]]'s [[label:Aftermath Entertainment]]. In 2008 Flipmode was dropped from Aftermath/Interscope following a heated argument between Busta Rhymes and Jimmy Iovine which led to Flipmode moving to [[label:Universal Motown]]. In 2011, Busta moved the label once more, signing with [[label:Cash Money Records]] and changing the label name to [[label:The Conglomerate Entertainment]].
