Record Label
Elementree Records was a record label founded in March of 1998 as a joint venture between the nu-metal band [[artist:Korn]], their management company, [[label:The Firm (2)]] (owned by [[artist:Jeff Kwatinez]] and [[artist:Michael Green (3)]]), and major record labels [[label:Reprise Records]]/[[label:Warner Music Group]]. Though Korn was at the time signed to [[label:Immortal Records]], an imprint of [[label:Epic Records]] owned by [[label:Sony Music Entertainment]], Elementree Records was a subsidiary of [[label:Reprise Records]] which was owned by [[label:Warner Music Group]]/[[label:WEA International]]. [[artist:Brian Sirgutz]] was named president of Elementree Records, a position he also held at [[label:Witchouse]] Records. Elementree Records has been on a hiatus since 2007. The first band signed to Elementree Records was [[artist:Orgy]]. Then followed [[artist:Cradle Of Thorns]] in 1997, which changed name to [[artist:Videodrone]] in 1998 and [[artist:Fear No Mob]]. Orgy's debut full-length, "Candyass" was the first output by the record label, released on August 11th 1998. Other bands that signed with Elementree include [[artist:Deadsy]], [[artist:Marz (7)]], [[artist:RBX]] and [[artist:The Drama (3)]].
