Italian label, founded in 1984 by [[artist:Giampiero Barlotti]]. Contempo Records is an Italian label, specialized in electronic, rock/wave, industrial, and post-punk music. Based in Florence since its foundation, circa 1982, went on hiatus in 1995 and then re-activated in 2005, reissuing its own catalogue along with lost alternative classics and brand new productions & releases. Operated also as distributor until 1992 when [[label:Contempo International]] was founded.
