Graffiti/visual artist [[artist:Oliver Waters]] & [[artist:Justin K Broadrick]], aka Youpho, open minded junglist, drum & bass explorers. A chance meeting in a post office in Church Stretton, Shropshire, lead to late night studio excursions into the realms of bass & twisted breakbeat manipulation. Their music can often lull you into a false sense of security with optimistic other worldly tonality before cracking open a plethora of audio sonics. Youpho was supported by [[artist:John Peel]] who years before had given [[artist:Napalm Death]] a large number of Radio 1 sessions on his show and continued to support both Waters and Broadrick with their other sonic offerings - long after Youpho disbanded.

Formed in 1997, split in 2000.

Projectile, Bio-mechanoid and Changelings were initial aliases Youpho recorded under before they were signed by Hard Leaders. There is a lot of unreleased material under those first monikers. A 12" titled "The Snarl" was slated for 28.10.1998 release through [[label:Juice Records]]/[[label:Splash Records]], it was played on dubplate by the likes of [[artist:Randall]] and [[artist:DJ Hype]] on his Kiss FM show. Exclusive compilation tracks were slated for [[label:Hardleaders]] and [[artist:DJ SS]] label [[label:Formation Records]].
